Woman loses Rs 90,000 over phone after revealing ‘OTP’

Indore: A woman loses Rs 90,000 over phone after she revealed her debit card details to link her bank account to an unidentified person on call claiming to be a bank employee.

Pramila Kushwala was shocked to learn she was conned of Rs 90,000 soon after she revealed her debit card details as well as her OTP to a complete stranger who claimed to be a bank employee, TOI reports.

The victim Kushwaha soon approached the Police and lodged a complaint with the Heera Nagar police station against online fraud.

In her complaint she said she also shared the OTP thrice with the accused who debited Rs 90,000 from her account.

“After investigation, we registered a case against the SIM card owner using which the calls were made. Three persons, residents of Jharkhand, have been booked, said Heera Nagar police station in charge Rajeev Bhadoria.
