Hyderabad: Chaitanyapuri police arrested two lady doctors and an auto driver who was involved in gender detection tests of pregnant women.
It was alleged that the doctor was performing surgical operations also.
Chaitanyapuri police foiled an attempt of shifting pregnant women through an autorickshaw.
Police is now investigating to find out who are the other persons involved in this racket.
It was found that with the help of driver Anjanegulu, women were being shifted from Chaitanyapuri to Attapur.
It was noticed that the lady doctor was charging Rs.9000 from each woman.
After detecting the gender of the child, operations were being performed.
Police arrested Dr. Sricilla and Dr. Ayesha Fatima.
