Muslims accepted Ayodhya Verdict Patiently, Maulana Tauqueer

Chief of Ittehad-e-Millat Council, Maulana Tauqueer Raza Khan, in a press conference held at his residence at Bareili told that Islam teaches the Muslims to be patient in adverse circumstances, Following this behalf, the Muslims accepted the Supreme Court’s Verdict on Ayodhya.

Maulana expressed his view that it would have been better if a consensus would have been arrived at on the basis of mutually agreed conditions.

He condemned the attitude of AIMPLB that despite declaring  that any judgment of the Supreme Court is acceptable it went back to its promise.

He opposed that stand taken by AIMPLB to file a review petition which the board decided in its meeting held on Sunday, 17th November.

Maulana pointed out that Supreme Court opined that there is no evidence that Babri Masjid was constructed after demolishing the temple and also the act of demolition of the Masjid was unlawful. These two points go in favor of the Muslims.

He further told that the decision of AIMPLB to file a review petition is not but keeping the issue alive. He opposed the decision of the Board.

On the legality of Construction of a masjid on the land given as a compensation for another masjid, Maulana said that there is no such provision in Islamic law.

He advised the Board not to accept this land without paying its cost.
