Meet 25-year-old Muslim immigrant who is contesting against UK PM

London: Mr. Ali Milani, a young immigrant is posing tough challenge to the Prime Minister of United Kingdom, Mr. Boris Johnson. In the elections, Milani who is a candidate of Labour Party is likely to give tough competition to Mr. Johnson.

According to the report published in NDTV, in 2017, Johnson won Uxbridge seat by a margin of only 5034 votes.

Johnson visits constituency occasionally

As per the British Law, it is not mandatory for the lawmakers to residence in the constituency they represent. Although, Johnson visits his constituency occasionally, he does not stay in Uxbridge.

On the other hand, Ali Milani lives in Uxbridge and went to Brunel University. He was the student leader too.

On Tuesday, Milani started door-to-door canvassing. Many activists joined him in the campaign.

On Wednesday, Johnson appeared outside his official residence at Downing Street and urged voters to vote in favour of Conservation Party.

It may be mentioned that if Milani manages to win the election, it will create a history as till date none of the sitting Prime Minister had lost the seat in UK.

Milani arrived London from Tehran

It may be noted that Milani had arrive London from Tehran along with his mother and sister when he was 5 year old.

When Britain goes to the polls on December 12, all eyes will be on Mr. Boris Johnson to see if he can secure a parliamentary majority to help push through his Brexit deal.

The Liberal Democrats, Greens and UKIP are also fielding candidates.
