Chandigarh: In a shocking incident reported from Chandigarh, a man posted a woman’s number on three porn sites on Saturday.
The accused and victim both are students the police report said, TN reports.
According to sources, the victim’s number was uploaded on the three porn websites in the month of September this year.
The victim approached the Police on September 25, two days after she started receiving video calls and text messages from unidentified persons.
Sector 9 police soon transferred the case to the cyber cell of Chandigarh.
The woman’s complaint stated: “I am getting video calls and text messages from around 50-60 persons with authenticated WhatsApp accounts. From further investigation, I came to know that my number has been updated on porn sites.”
The police acting on the case, managed to delete the victim’s number from the porn websites and on further probing the case they zeroed in on the suspect.
The accused is yet to be arrested.
