Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home today paid rich tributes to the Father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of 150th Birthday celebrations.
The Union Minister visited Bapu Ghat early this morning before embarking on the Sankalp Yatra Remembering the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi ji on his 150th Birth Anniversary he said that “As we aspire for a “NewIndia”, may we all walk in the path of Peace i and tolerance towards all and ensure his ideals reflect in all of our actions.My respects to the true Vishwa Guru” he said. He paid floral tributes to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at BapuGhat.
Later he embarked on the Gandhi Sanikalp Yatra from Khairtabad. Aa part of #GandhiSankalpYatra, He undertook padayatra this morning in the Secunderabad Parliamentary Constituency covering various divisions in the Khairatabad Assembly segment. “It feels great to have met so many people as I walked through the streets, interacting with my constituents and exchanging the thoughts of #Mahatma Gandhi”
As per the prime minister, Narendra Modi’s call the party’s elected representatives will undertake the ‘Sankalp padayatra’ for the next 15 days to take forward Mahatma Gandhi’s values and principles among the mass.
