Chhattisgarh: A couple, Ibrahim and Anjali (23) who had married secretly one and a half year ago finally reunited on Wednesday. Anjali who was staying at Sakhi Center left with Ibrahim amid tight security.
According to the report published in Indian Express, both Ibrahim and Anjali are the native of Dhamtari district, Chhattisgarh. They had married secretly last year.
Ibrahim approached HC
After a few months, Ibrahim approached the High Court against Anjali’s parents claiming that they are keeping her hostage.
On the other hand, her parents alleged that Ibrahim had misled their daughter.
In the month of February, the girl was shifted to Sakhi Center after he urged the DGP to rescue her.
Court order
On 17th November, Court ordered to release the girl. Although the girl was released on 18th November, she was taken back to the center. Police informed the court that she can be released only after informing both Ibrahim and the girl’s father, Ashok Jain.
She was kept in the center as Ashok’s phone was off and he was not at home. Finally, she was allowed to go along with her husband, Ibrahim after she began a hunger strike.
