Hyderabad: Tension prevails at Ujale Shah Eidgah

Hyderabad: Tension prevailed at Ujale Shah Eidgah, Saidabad after a group of women belonging to various Muslim organizations decided to offer payers at the Eidgah in view of the verdict in the decades-old Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute case.

According to the report published in Telangana Today, the women wanted to offer congregational prayer, ‘Qunoot e Nazila’.

In response to the decision, police deployed huge personnel including women cops. As per the police, permission for the prayer was not taken. Cops had barricaded all the routes towards Eidgah.

As a precautionary measure, schools which are located at Saidabad and nearby areas sent text messages to parents asking them to pick up their children.

After the talk between police and the organizers, cops allowed congregational prayer.
