Hyderabad: Human trafficking racket busted

Hyderabad: The Special Operations Team of Malkajgiri Zone busted an inter-state human trafficking racket here on Friday and apprehended a female organiser, four customers and rescued four victims, who hail from West Bengal.

The officials also seized cash, mobile phones from their possession. Following a tip-off, the SOT officials, accompined by the local police conducted the decoy operation.

The organiser was identified as Raziya Khatoon, 35 a housewife from Kakatiya Nagar in Neredmet, said the police, adding that her husband, the co-organiser, Sk Sirajuddin, 53, a watchman by profession, was reportedly absconding. The customers, Shaik Shareef, 33, Abdul Sarbar, 32, Vithal Balraj, 24, and Md.Shareef, 38, were all booked under relevant sections of the law and taken into custody. “

The organisers, both wife and husband, are from Kolkata, West Bengal. They came to Neredmet with a plan to organise brothel house by contacting their known people, took an independent house on rent, procured four young women from West Bengal by contacting their source, and promised them to pay good money. The organisers contact their customers and send girls to their locations and also invite customers to their place,” said Mahesh Bhagwat, Rachakonda police commissioner.
