Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar today prohibited bursting of fire crackers on public roads and at public places during Deepavali festival celebrations.
In a notification, Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar stated that in accordance with the recent directions issued by the Supreme Court, there shall be complete ban on bursting sound Emitting Firecrackers on the public roads and public places in the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate limits except between 8 pm and 10 pm. The noise level from crackers, drums and other instructions, if any between 8 pm to 10 pm should not exceed the permissible limits as notified by the pollution Control Board, he added.
The ban order will be in force from 6 am on October 26 to 6 am on October 29. He cautioned the public that any person violating the order will be prosecuted under the Hyderabad City Police Act and other relevant laws in force.
