Hitec City–Raidurgam metro rail services to start from Nov 29

Hyderabad: Managing Director of HMRL, NVS Reddy on Friday announced that the municipal administration and urban development (MAUD) minister KT Rama Rao along with P. Ajay Kumar minister for transport is going to inaugurate the corridor-3 of metro rail stretch from Hitec City-Raidurgam on 29 November, 2019.

NVS Reddy also inspected the stretch today along with HMRL Chief Electrical Engineer Mr. DVS Raju, Chief Signaling and Telecom Engineer Mr. SK Das, PD, L&TMRHL Mr. MP Naidu, COO  Mr. AK Saini and other senior engineers. Satisfied with the preparedness, he stated that all the tests have been completed on this one and a half km stretch.

It is expected that Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) Mr. Janak Kumar Garg will inspect the section on 26 and 27 November 2019. Subject to CMRS’ safety clearance, the inaugural is planned for 29th, the MD informed.

The opening of this important IT stretch will provide a major relief to a large number of employees working in major IT/ITES and other establishments in this congested area and that an initial additional ridership of about 40 thousand is likely, Mr. NVS Reddy added.
