Hyderabad: Telangana State Minorities Finance Corporation (TSMFC) has extended the deadline for applying for ‘Driver Empowerment Programme’ till November 30. Under the programme, the financial assistance for the purchase of Maruti Dzire Tour-S vehicle is provided to the beneficiaries.
The programme is receiving a huge response from the public.
The TSMFC is providing the financial assistance in collaboration with Maruti Motors, Uber Cab service Provider and the partner bank. 300 cars will be provided under the programme for which around 4,000 people have applied through online mode so far.
Akbar Hussain, Chairman Telangana State Minorities Finance Corporation told that the beneficiaries will be informed after scrutinising the applications and the selection process is completed. The scheme was launched for the first time two years ago. 800 persons were provided financial assistance at that time.
According to Telangana Today, those seeking to avail the assistance should apply through Online Beneficiary Management and Monitoring System (IOBMMS) web portal http://tsobmms.cgg.gov.in.
