British Parliamentary Group targets India for alleged religious intolerance

UK: In a report of UK Parliamentarians, Indian was targeted for allegedly not protecting religious minorities from the extremist Hindus.

The report further says that the philosophy of nationalist Hindutva increases religious atrocities.

The report was presented on 31st December under the title, “Review on the situation on Freedom of religion and faith”. It depicts that in 7 states of India, the Muslims and the Christians are being threatened. The report was published by Catholic News Service.

The report says that PM condemned mob violence but his government has not been active in preventing religious violence. It also says that the radical group of the ruling BJP has an association with RSS which propagates myths from history. It also claims that India is a Hindu State.

The report expresses anxiety and says that the situation has worsened after BJP assumed power in 2014.
