Hyderabad: BJP Party workers held victory celebrations after Triple Talaq bill was passed yesterday successfully in the Parliament.
The Bill was passed in Rajya Sabha finally and Party workers exchanged sweets among each other. Muslim women celebrated the bill.
Continuing the celebrations here the BJP Minority Morcha led by its President Afsar Pasha held victory celebrations here at Abids by bathing Narendra Modi’s poster with milk and raising victory slogans for Narendra Modi and the Bill.
The Minority Morcha led by Afsar Pasha State President BJP Minority Morcha, Ziyaanath Ali Khan City President , Syeed Alam State VicePresident , Sirajunnisa Begum former Central wakf board member , Mrs. Zabiya General Secretary , Hansa Bin Sawariya Vice President Shanaaz Akhtar Vice President Nisaar Ahmed State General Secretary and others praised Modi and said women were relieved today . They welcomed the Triple Talaq Bill and said that it was a victory of Minority women who were being harassed otherwise.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Afsar Pasha State President Minority Morcha said that just like Sati Child Marriage Dowry, triple Talaq Bill was a social evil. Globally nowhere Triple talaq was in practice except in India. Stating that there was nothing religious about accepting the Bill but was passed on grounds of Humanity. Alleging that the UPA Government had tried to suppress the Bill in the past under NDA in its first term also the so-called Secular parties including Congress opposed the Bill
Mr. Afsar Pasha said that in second term all pending bills including Triple talaq bill was passed. Last week BJP had requested all political parties to support the Bill for the self-respect of Muslim women . Previous to the passing of the Bill Muslim Women lived in fear but now can live peacefully.
Referring to Owaisi discussion that the Bill was an attack on Islam Mr. Afsar Pasha said that it was utter rubbish and on the contrary BJP has given due respect to Islam and want to follow Islamic laws on talaq. BJP will further work on Nikah Halalla and Polygamy he pointed out.
